About John

John has been in banking his entire career. He holds a degree in Finance from the University of Missouri-Columbia, attended the Graduate School of Banking at UVA, and holds the Certified Exit Planning Advisor (CEPA) designation. Before joining the Cogent Private Wealth team, John ran the Wealth Management and Trust Department for Mutual of Omaha Bank.

As a 35-year resident of Florida, John is practically a native. He enjoys staying active with exercise and golf, as well as cooking and trying great wines. John and his wife are very close with their family and two grandchildren.
